A View Back: My Own What’s Next

When I started What’s Next, a few clients asked, “Have you moved on from resilience?”

Far from it.

Resilience has shaped my work for years, but lately, I’ve been thinking about how we apply it to what’s ahead. If Resilient Wednesdays was about strengthening our ability to handle life’s challenges, then What’s Next is about stepping forward with intention—using that resilience to create something new.

This isn’t just a concept for me—I’m living it.

My Own What’s Next

For years, I thrived as a psychologist, consultant, and writer. But over time, I asked: What do I want to build next? How do I keep growing?

Like many clients, I realized resilience isn’t just about bouncing back from difficulty. It’s also about choosing growth, even when things are going well.

So, I started shifting my work.

• I reimagined my writing, launching What’s Next to explore the real work of change for others and myself.

• I’ve been focusing on helping individuals more directly, moving beyond corporate consulting to work one-on-one with people navigating transitions.

I wrote a new eBook—The Resilient Wednesday Collection: 52 Weeks of Resilience, Vol I—to capture what I’ve learned over a decade of writing and coaching.

This book isn’t just a collection of ideas. It reflects my journey—what I’ve discovered about resilience, decision-making, and creating forward momentum. It’s filled with the same small, practical shifts I’ve used in my own life and work:

• How to ask better questions that lead to “yes” instead of “no”

• How to avoid energy-draining people who hold you back

• How to build resilience proactively, not just reactively

Resilience is Forward Motion

Looking back helps us move forward.

I’m in the middle of my own What’s Next—redefining how I work, create, and help others. And I know many of you are, too.

So, as you think about your journey, ask yourself:

What past lessons are shaping your What’s Next?

Drop a comment or message me—I’d love to hear what’s next for you.
